Welcome to our church
Welcome to Peace Lutheran Church. Come and see what we're doing or contact us to join one of our activities. We have a wide range of activities for different age groups and interests and we welcome all who love the Lord to join us in ministry and worship. Sunday worship is at 9:00 am every week at 85 Spencer Street, Gatton.
Confirmation Classes for 2019
Peace Church will be embarking on a new approach for confirmation classes in 2019. We are looking to incorporate the confirmation process more closely with our congregation activities. Classes will be held at Peace Church on a Sunday morning. We will also be using our members to assist with mentoring and discipleship to help our young folk to better understand life in the church. If you have any children aged year six or older looking to be confirmed, or if you would like to volunteer to assist with our activities, please contact Phil Harm (5462 8541) or Neil Huth (54628418).
We hope to organise a parent information night in the very near future to explain our new approach and to gather feedback. Currently we need to gather all expressions of interest.
Pastor Rob Answers the Call to Gatton Ministry Area
We are pleased to announce that Pastor Rob Edwards has accepted the call to the Gatton ministry area of the Lockyer Valley Lutheran Parish. Rob is currently serving with Calvary Lutheran Church in Rockhampton and has previously served with churches in South Australia, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. His previous roles have involved outreach through local congregations, indigenous communities, welfare ministries and drug and alcohol counselling. Joy Edwards is a teacher, musician and author who is actively involved in the leadership of women's ministries. We look forward to Rob and Joy joining our community in early 2019.
Rob says he is called to "guide the Church in its call to make disciples of all nations. To do this I see my task as to help people to discover their gifts and learn to use them for God's Glory, raising up and equipping ministers of the Gospel."
